PILATES SANT GERVASI - GA Strategy
For pilates-santgervasi.com, we implemented a complete Google Analytics 4 strategy focused on understanding user acquisition, measuring engagement, and optimizing the conversion journey.
The objective of this analytics framework was to transform traffic data into actionable insights, allowing the business to understand how users discover the website, interact with its content, and progress toward conversion.
This strategy was developed in connection with the SEO strategy for Pilates Sant Gervasi and the content strategy report, making it possible to analyze how organic visibility and content performance translate into user engagement.
By combining acquisition analysis, event tracking, and user behavior insights, the project provides a clear view of how search visibility and content performance generate qualified traffic and business opportunities.
Google Analytics – Performance:
2024
The analysis of user acquisition channels shows that Organic Search and Direct traffic are the primary sources of sessions, confirming a strong dependency on search visibility and brand recognition.
According to the acquisition report, google / organic represents the majority of traffic, followed by (direct) / (none), while referral channels contribute a smaller but diversified share of users.
From a global perspective, the website reaches over 6,500 active users and more than 6,600 new users, with an average engagement time of around 47 seconds, reflecting a moderate level of interaction.
Content-driven pages play a key role in attracting traffic, especially blog articles related to health and Pilates, which generate a significant share of visits and user engagement.
The geographic distribution shows a strong presence in Spain, particularly in Barcelona and Madrid, while also attracting international users from Latin America, reinforcing the SEO-driven reach of the project.
This performance analysis highlights that the strategy is heavily driven by organic acquisition, making SEO and content optimization key levers for growth.

Google Analytics – Events
The measurement strategy is based on a structured event tracking system that captures user interaction across the entire website.
The data shows a total of more than 34,000 events, with key interactions distributed across page_view, user_engagement, session_start, and first_visit. :contentReference[oaicite:3]{index=3}
Page_view and user_engagement represent the largest share of events, confirming that users actively browse and consume content once they land on the website.
The balance between session_start and first_visit indicates a strong flow of new users, reinforcing the role of SEO in attracting fresh traffic to the platform.
Additional interaction metrics, such as scroll behavior, session engagement, and views per session, provide deeper insights into how users interact with content and how effectively pages retain attention. :contentReference[oaicite:4]{index=4}
This event-based approach allows for a complete understanding of user behavior, identifying which types of content generate more engagement and which areas of the site require optimization.

Google Analytics –
Funnels & Explorations:
2024
Through GA4 analysis and user behavior exploration, we evaluated how users interact with content and progress toward conversion-related actions.
Unlike ecommerce-driven projects, the user journey in this case is content-based, where blog articles and informational pages act as entry points that guide users toward service pages and contact opportunities.
The data reveals a strong top-of-funnel performance, driven by organic traffic landing on educational and SEO-optimized content.
However, the transition from content consumption to conversion-oriented pages (such as contact or service pages) represents a key optimization opportunity, as not all users progress beyond the informational stage.
This type of analysis allows us to:
- Identify high-performing content that drives traffic
- Improve internal linking toward conversion pages
- Optimize user journeys from content to contact
- Increase conversion potential without relying solely on more traffic
By combining acquisition data, event tracking, and user behavior analysis, the strategy provides a complete view of how organic traffic translates into business opportunities, establishing a strong foundation for future optimization and growth.
